SEVEN UP
by Janet Evanovich
I love the sassy, wisecracking bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum,
and I’m completely addicted to this wonderful series of madcap crime.
Also, I think I might be in love with the delicious Joe Morelli
--- and the equally delicious Ranger!
THE
LAST TIME THEY MET
by Anita Shreve
I don’t know how it happened, but I seem to be the last person
on the planet who hasn’t read any Anita Shreve! Time to put this right
and this story of two lovers who meet again after many years of separation
sounds just what I’d like
Anything by Jennifer Crusie
I’ve just finished WELCOME
TO TEMPTATION and was so entertained by this heart-warming
and wildly funny book that now I want to read everything else Jennifer
Crusie has written --- novels, short stories, shopping lists…
A DAY LATE AND A DOLLAR SHORT
by Terry McMillan
What a great writer. She writes with
such humour and honesty about the complexity of relationships – how
you can love someone and they can still drive you crazy. This is narrated
by a mother of four adult children and is told in such a warm, easy
tone that after the first page I was totally hooked.
WHICH LIE DID I TELL?: More Adventure in the Screen Trade
by William Goldman
The novel I’m currently writing is set
in Hollywood, because I had a brief adventure there when Disney optioned
my novel Rachel’s Holiday. But for extra background I’m reading every
Hollywood confessional I can get my hands on. I’m told this is a particularly
funny example of the genre.
