Meredith Ann Pierce

Meredith Ann Pierce is the author of a number of award-winning fantasy novels for young adults, including the Darkangel Trilogy, the Firebringer Trilogy, and The Woman Who Loved Reindeer. She received both a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Florida, and an M.L.S. from Florida State University, and spends her days as a librarian. Her hobbies include composing music and playing the harp. She lives in the woods south of Micanopy, Florida, in a house powered by solar energy.

Tamora Pierce

Nancy Springer

Nancy Springer's many citations include two Edgar Allan Poe Awards, and her many fantasy novels include I Am Mordred and I Am Morgan Le Fay. Springer, who has long considered herself an advocate of teenagers, teaches a course in creative writing at York College of Pennsylvania. She lives in East Berlin, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Joel. They are the parents of two grown children.

Mark L. Williams

Mark London Williams has slung ink and pixels for Variety, the LA Times' "Meta Hollywood," and other on and offline publications. He's scripted comics, published a coyote poem or two, and had a slew of produced plays, in venues ranging from California to London. Danger Boy #1: Ancient Fire is his first book for kids. Mark grew up in Berkeley, California until he graduated from Cal with a degree in drama. Then he moved to L.A., where he currently lives with his wife, two swell boys, a dog and a cat.
