Poet Roundtable

10. AOTW: What are you working on now?

Mark Ford: No comment!

Carol Muske-Dukes: A novel called Channeling Mark Twain --- it's under contract at Random
House.

Daniel Mark Epstein: I am writing a double biography of Walt Whitman and Abraham Lincoln.

Robin Robertson: I have just come back from six weeks in a tower in Tuscany, halfway through a third book. Appropriately, the first thing I wrote there was a re-telling of Ovid's story of the death of Actaeon. Appropriate, given the answer to the last question, because of the punishment that the goddess Artemis chooses for the hunter Actaeon when he stumbles on her bathing naked: she turns him into a deer, and he is devoured by his own dogs.
