Bio

Carl Hiaasen was born and raised in Florida and currently resides in the Florida Keys. He is the author of nine novels set in his home state, including TOURIST SEASON, DOUBLE WHAMMY, SKIN TIGHT, NATIVE TONGUE, STRIP TEASE, STORMY WEATHER, LUCKY YOU, SICK PUPPY, and BASKET CASE. He also coauthored three earlier novels (A DEATH IN CHINA, POWDER BURN, and TRAP LINE), published two anthologies of his newspaper columns (KICK ASS and PARADISE SCREWED), and a book-length essay on the Disney enterprise entitled TEAM RODENT. Hiaasen is an award-winning investigative journalist writing a twice-weekly metropolitan column for the Miami Herald.
