Robert J. Randisi has been published in the western, mystery, horror, science fiction and men's adventure genres. All told, he is the author of over 400 novels, 40 short stories and the editor of 25 anthologies. He has also edited a Writer's Digest book on Writing the P.I. novel, and for 7 years was the mystery reviewer for the Orlando Sentinel. In 1982 he founded the Private Eye Writers of America, and created the Shamus Award. In 1985 he co-founded Mystery Scene Magazine, and a couple of years later was co-founder of the American Crime Writer's League. In 1993 he was awarded a Life Achievement Award at the Southwest Mystery Convention. In the Western genre he is the creator and author of The Gunsmith series, which has been appearing monthly since January of 1982. Most of the 400 books he's written have been westerns.

Bob Randisi is the author of the "Miles Jacoby," "Nick Delvecchio" and "Joe Keough," mystery series, and the co-author of the "Gil & Claire Hunt" series. He has been nominated four times for the Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America, in the Novel and short story categories. The Masks of Auntie Laveau, co-authored with Christine Matthews, was published early in 2002, and the 4th Joe Keough novel, East of the Arch was published in the Fall of 2002. Arch Angels will appear in 2003, and in 2004, the third "Gil & Claire" novel Same Time, Same Murder, will be published. These are all from St. Martin's Press. His novel Curtains of Blood was published in December 2002 by Leisure Books, and another mystery novel, The Offer (Five Star) hit the stands in January of 2003. Alone with the Dead (SMP), the first "Joe Keough" novel, received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly. It was followed by In the Shadow of the Arch, Blood on the Arch and East of the Arch. Arch Angels will be published in 2004. The year 2001 saw the publication of Delvecchio's Brooklyn, a collection of his "Nick Delvecchio" short stories. He is the editor of more than 25 print and audio anthologies, including the Deadly Allies, Lethal Ladies, For Crime Out Loud and First Cases series. He was also the editor of Writing the Private Eye Novel for Writer's Digest in 1997. His most recent anthologies are The Shamus Game (NAL, 2000), MYstery Street (NAL, 2001), and Most Wanted (NAL, 2002), all PWA anthologies. Set to appear in the Fall of 2003 is High StakeS, an anthology of stories featuring Crime and Gambling, and in 2004 Murder . . . And All that Jazz, a collection of stories combining Crime and Jazz. East of the Arch
Detective Joe Keough, something of a specialist when it comes to serial killers, is loaned out by the Mayor of St. Louis to the Mayor of East St. Louis, Ill. He's asked to assist in tracking down a particularly grizzly serial killer who is kidnapping pregnant women, removing their babies, killing them and then dumping them in various parts of Southern Ill.
